Professional quilter, author, lecturer -- contemporary quilt designers come from a variety of backgrounds. Additional talents include musician, textile artist, teacher, fabric designer, engineer, story teller, and artist. No matter their backgrounds, they all have a passion for quilting and a desire to encourage others to learn the skills and heritage of quilting. 



Blending Tradition & Innovation

Alex Anderson -- quilt designer

Alex Anderson : A quilter since 1978, Alex Anderson has been instrumental in the resurgence of interest in the art of quilting. She has taught the concepts of quilt design and quilting in clear and simple terms through her many books, the "Simply Quilts" television series, and many seminars and appearances.

Jinny Beyer: A professional quilter, author, lecturer, teacher, fabric designer and artist, Jinny Beyer travels extensively throughout the U.S. and many foreign countries teaching workshops and giving lectures.

Eleanor Burns : For over 30 years Eleanor Burns has passionately shared her innovative, easy to learn, <Quilt in a Day stitching techniques with quilters, allowing them to create quilts in days rather than weeks or months. As an author, teacher, television personality, and fabric designer for Benartex, Eleanor Burns was instrumental in the resurgence of interest in the art of quilting in America.

Kaye England: Quilter, teacher, historian, author, owner of several quilt shops in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kaye England celebrates women in history in her Voices of the Past books.

Kaffe Fassett : Leading contemporary textile designer, American artist Kaffe Fassett is a pioneer in the use of brilliant color, bold shapes, and tactile textures as the visual elements of his unique style of quilt design.

John Flynn: An engineer who became involved with quilts and quilting when he designed a quilt frame for his wife, Brooke, Joe Flynn now, is also a teacher and pattern designer.

Ricky Tims : One of only a few male quilt designers, Ricky Tims, who is also a pianist, conductor, composer, arranger, music producer, performing artist, quilter, teacher, and author, has successfully blended two diverse passions into one very unique and interesting career.
